Today I interviewed the beautiful, down-to-earth, sophisticated, and, by her own admittance, clown-like Robyn Hobson. She is an aspiring model and actress who is currently running for the FHM sexiest girl competition I caught up with her to get some insight into the world of beautiful girls and more specifically what they think, how they think and what’s their opinions on guys and how to approach them. Robyn: Probably  :D well I am naturally clumsy  so yes but I don’t wear face paint or throw pies at people

Baron: The face paint is debatable cool I’m going start asking you some questions clown

Baron: What is one of your craziest, most ridiculous college memories?

Robyn: Wow, there are a few of those, if it’s out of varsity the rugby world cup I guess I painted I love Francois Steyn across my chest and wore green. Then we hit Claremont with the rest of the student community and wow well that was just a really fun night *Big Smile*

Baron: LOL- so you’re a Francois Steyn groupie?

Robyn : yes *Blushing* he’s hot! LOL- I never find rugby players hot, but he is.

Baron: That’s probably because he looks like more of a surfer than a rugby player….You stalked him down yet?

Robyn: *Laughing, no not that bad  :)

Baron: If you bumped into Steyn, what would u do…..? Would you try luring him in…? Or would you approach him?

Robyn: LOL no, shame poor guy, he probably gets that a lot

Baron: Breast implants: for or against? Why?

Robyn: Against, well if you have them nothing against you really I just personally wouldn’t because I have watched Dr 90210 and how they carry about that operation is just scary beyond measure

Baron: you’re a little politician aren’t you?

Robyn:  LOL, no, I understand some girls get them because they are super flat chested so I’m not saying it’s a bad thing

Baron: Your boobs, do they have names?

Robyn: LOL, No, ha ha.  Hands down the best question I have ever been asked

Baron: Why wouldn’t you name your boobs?!

Robyn: LOL good question I guess I’ll have to start looking for good names

Baron: Off the cuff, give me 2 names

Robyn: Salt and pepper but purely because they go together and are sitting on the table in front of me

Baron: Or they are edible?

Robyn:  HA HA. Never thought of that

Baron: Good with tequila? <<I meant her boobs>>

Robyn: Can I hold my liquor?  yes  :)  but tequila is a bit of a fine line  so are jager-bombs … Those are definitely interesting

Baron: How about naming your Boobs Jager Bombs?

Robyn: HA HA HA no, they don’t have wings!

Baron: Do u give off signals if there is a guy you want?

Robyn: That’s the guys job (sorry boys) yeah there are the usual flick your hair, maintain eye contact for longer than necessary etc. I have been told I give off natural flirting signals (although I am unaware of doing so) <<Yeah right>>

Baron: And on the other hand, what’s the best approach for a guy to take to chat to you?

Robyn: Guys have to make it quite obvious they are looking at me to be honest I would say a lame pick up line… but the guy has to know its lame, does that make sense? But it’s got to be a lame line that makes me laugh. If you can make me laugh then I’ll definitely carry on talking to you. I love sense of humour!

Baron: How would “did you just fart?”…… “cause you just blew me away” work?

Robyn: – HAHAHAHA, That’s awful but yeah I would probably pack up laughing, it obviously all depends on the delivery of the line as well. Delivery is everything

Baron: What about “Do u know of a good vet?” *then flex your biceps “cause these are some sick puppies”

Robyn: ha ha ha ha ha, again awful but funny the guy has to know they’re lame, lol if he says it in all seriousness then no- I will think he is an idiot.

Baron: Ok miss FHM …. Give me your best pick up line- if you were trying to pick me up?

Robyn: I would so use the ice one- you know when you walk up to someone  drop ice on the floor, crush it with your heel and then say now that the ice is broken  That one makes me laugh and I’m secretly dying to try it

Baron: HA HA HA that is terrible <<attraction school warning- try this at your own risk>>

Robyn I know but so very awesome (secretly I know you think so)

Baron I don’t know many girls that would do that- your one in a million clown face

Baron: What if a guy came up and asks your opinion (to get a girls perspective)….?

Robyn: I’ll give them a girls perspective I quite love talking so I would

Baron: Would you think he is trying to pick you up?

Robyn: No, some guy tried this but then I was told later that apparently that is a pick up routine from the game or something but I didn’t know that. <<”the Game” is a book by Neil Strauss all about picking up woman- read it for a laugh>>

Baron: Yeah it is

Robyn: Oh ok, learn something new every day, Yeah he asked me about movies… genuinely thought he wanted to know

Baron: What do you look for in a guy? What would compensate for being an ugly in your books?

Robyn: Sense of humour really I am a sucker for someone that can make me laugh, and nice arms, or a nice eyes

Baron: What is your favourite kind of gum and why do all girls fall for dick heads?

Robyn: um….the purple Stimorol packet (think it’s berry) and I have no idea why we think it’s a good idea it’s like we have blinkers on.  I wish I could answer that question… I would love to know what women are doing wrong so we could fix it. Really I can’t understand it- we probably find them attractive

Baron: I have a theory that girls can’t whistle, can you?

Robyn: yeah I can, I have a very good whistle.  It can rival boys whistles  :) Sorry to poke holes in your theory :D

Baron Earlier you said you like a guy to pursue you…. how should he go about it?

Robyn: Just don’t be nervous, chat to me and don’t be a dickhead… you know all macho and with a point to prove that irritates me, I’m not into guys who are like that.  Jocks… not really a fan. I just see through the whole thing and don’t have much time for it

Baron: What should the boys do differently if they wanted a chance with a hottie like you?

Robyn: yeah again, just come across as a sincere nice guy… Does that make sense? Just be real I hate fake people.

Baron: Lets sum it up- The guy must come up to you, be funny, confident and nice

Robyn: yeah and throw in real/sincere/genuine

Baron: Very good traits to look for!

Robyn: I know, but sometimes in Cape Town it’s hard to find :)

Robyn: Spiders, I need guys to remove them, actually I will probably end up marrying a guy who is a professional spider remover

Robyn: Yes… but not smoothy charm (like a player approach) but old school charm is cool

Robyn: lol jack black from the holiday  such a lame movie but when he creates a piece of music that describes Kate Winslets character  It’s so romantic ( yes that is cheesy I admit )I like it when guys are like that. OH !!!! Down to earth- those are the guys I like or if not – Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean … because yes he is just that hot and confident!

They find someone who is Cool, Calm and Confident (CCC) extremely sexy. Be sincere, charming and don’t take yourself too seriously. Humour goes a long way to make a girl feel good about herself which gets your foot in the door.

A good house party trumps a good night out any day of the week

There’s no doubt that running a good event can take you right where want to be in the social hierarchy. The host is always seen as charming, hospitable and confident (unless you screw up royally, but we’ll talk about that in a minute). And people have to and want to talk to the host – they seek him out.

I periodically run events for my social circle, and this is an important part of my game. Guys on pick up forums often talk just meeting new random women at clubs and bars. That is important, but it’s naive to think that’s what good game is all about. I think good game is about being that confident guy you’ve dreamed about being and living that lifestyle. So for me, picking up women (and meeting interesting dudes and guys who are like me and have value to offer the world) and sucking them into my social circle is just as important.

Events are the best way to do that, you can meet a hottie at a bar, invite her and her friends to your party, spend a bit of time with them, and bang, now you’re friends. You also almost never have to work for social proof at a party you host, and did I mention I just about always have my choice of women at the party? I do.

Here’s what you wanna do:

Choose a theme

Make up an occasion. I learnt this from a housemate I used to have. I was trying to focus on work and I didn’t want to drink or party much at that stage. But he would ALWAYS somehow concoct a special occasion that I COULDN’T MISS and most times I’d end up joining them. It’d be the “last barbeque we can ever have this Summer, you’ve got to join us, don’t be such a pansy, get down here, I bought you a six pack, I’ve opened one already. Come on, come on.” or it’s our “annual **** House (our house’s name) neon glow-in-the-dark bowling championships”.

Be creative and come up with fun themes that are compelling, that only come around once in a blue moon, and that are fun to act out. It’s a great sense of camaraderie all walking about in neon outfits while the world looks on. And hilarious and lots of fun too. You don’t have to be that extreme, but I promise it works — have you ever noticed how people always have a better time when they’re part of that “in-group” who are crazy and just on their own mission? A theme is the NUMBER ONE way to get this going, people forget about the outside world and just have a good time, and you’re cool.

Get the guests

Invite everyone you know who is in the area and get them to come down. (You might be selective if you think they’re gonna be tools.) But here’s the important part, you need to make sure they come down.

You’ve probably got an inner circle of people you know you can “count on” who will be there come hell or high water. I hope this includes some girls, but if it doesn’t don’t worry.

The people we’re going to concentrate on are the Maybe’s and the No’s. Look through your potential list of guests (I always do the initial invite on Facebook, it’s easier to track visually there, and for fucks sakes make it sound cool, don’t waste that beautiful space on description with nothing there, use images and a funny event description), and decide who’s who in each list. This should happen about a month in advance if you’re doing a party, but you can get away with much less for other events. Now I run this project management style – it’s the difference in my experience between a bad / ok party, and a whoop ass crazy time.

Call up everyone you think is a Maybe or a No. PERSONALLY invite them. Spend a couple of minutes on the phone chatting about what’s going on with them lately and small talking, and spend a minute selling the heck out of your event, and how you haven’t seen them for a while you’d love if they popped down. (When they do come, please genuinely make an effort to chat to them a bit, they’ll come by again if you do.) Use your genius and find reasons why they’ve GOT to come: there’s gonna be free pizza, you owe them a beer, there’s that one girl/guy they like who’s there, whatever it takes. And when they agree, tell them they can bring their friends or significant others / love interests, and one or two of their friends – make them feel welcome, and help them grow the circle who are attending too.

Closer to the time send out reminders, a simple facebook message or a text is great the day before and it’ll boost your attendance rates, because honestly, people forget. Mention they can bring friends they like and trust and who aren’t going to steal your stuff.

In terms of numbers: if you can’t get at least 20 people together, don’t run a party, you’ll look like a tool, make it another event where you go out for something – even if it’s Witchcraft Rib evening and you go to a steak house and have eat-all-you-can ribs wearing funny hats or something. Make it an event – not just a dinner or a drink. Same thing applies with outside events, though you might not go to the trouble of facebook eventing it, just call everybody.

Run a shit-hot party

Make sure you’ve got whatever you need prepared, and some people won’t be prepared so prepare for that too. If you’re running house party, have cool lights and couches and snacks and some extra booze for the stragglers, and some good fun popular music (I know you’re into hardcore metal or hardcore rave or whatever that shit is, but most of your guests probably aren’t and nothing makes them want to leave more than loud music they hate).

If you’re running a crazy event out there somewhere, make sure you’ve got the bases covered. Did you book the venue? Does everyone know how to find it (or are you meeting somewhere for a pre-drink and getting a cab?) If you need kit did you buy extra (I bought lots of extra neon shit for our neon night, and it was needed, and it helped drag in some outliers who weren’t really part of the group – an extra shirt / hat / bangle / whatever is only a couple of bucks, invest!

When you’re there, make sure everyone’s having a good time. Flit between groups and chat to them. While you’re at it, practise merging groups (drag one into the other and help them make friends, introduce everyone and tell a funny story about one or two to get things going and the ice melted). Make people feel welcomed and ask about their lives. They’ll ask about yours too, but it’s much more important to get them talking and laughing. Introduce them to cool friends you think they’ll like and make jokes, play pranks – basically help people have a really good time.

If you’re doing all of that, you most likely do not even need to think about game at all, because you’re already doing most everything confident, successful guys do. Good body language, tone and the right push-pull in conversations helps a lot too, but this isn’t the time to learn it, you’ll have a lot more on your mind.

When the party is in full swing though, pick your target (you should already have one by now), chat to her a little and tell her to come with to fix a drink or have a look at this or that, and take her somewhere quietish and pull in. Easy. Go back and party with your friends and keep her nearby. As the evening mellows out, you should be mellowing out with her, and if you’re any good you’ll be able to keep her stuck to a couch or lingering around waiting to get cavemanned back to your bedroom!

If you do all of that your party will be a hit, and maybe I’ll be at your next one…

Lets not beat around the bush; there is nothing more attractive to a girl than a guy in good shape. Girls love abs, biceps, chests, and calves especially as summer approaches and you spend more time without your shirt on. Holiday romances become a big possibility. I don’t care who you are or what you do; there is no excuse for being out of shape.

It’s a simple equation, More Exercise = Better Body = More Sex Appeal. There was a survey done a while ago about “what is the main factor that would make a woman have one night stand.” Yes you guessed it. Girls are most likely to have a one night stand if the guy is attractive.

I’m not saying that every single guy has to look like Brad Pitt in Fight Club, or Tom Jane in the Punisher. But….why not- if it will drastically increase you success rate with the Ladies? Every single guy out there has the potential to get a good build- so why not do it?

I’m not going to be naïve and say that if you aren’t in good shape you won’t score or say if you are in shape you will always score. (Fat guys do score- fat chicks.) But on average being in good shape makes you more confident, your body language is better, and girls feel safer around you. So why not just get off your lazy ass and hit the gym. You will instantly be more attractive to girls.

Men’s Health published Tom Jane’s work out back when the Marvel movie ‘the Punisher’ came out but if you’re looking for it now, you found it. This work out requires mucho determination and guts. Tom Jane performed this work out twice a day! Men’s Health reported that “In 9 weeks, he went from 70- to 105-pound dumbbells in the chest press and raised his 10-repetition total in the leg press from 550 to 1,050 pounds,”

Tom Jane’s workout involved lots of cardio, ab exercises and serious weight lifting. It was 4 days a week, Monday, Tuesday, rest Wednesday (you’ll see why), Thursday, and Friday. This is a very fast result work out but it requires a lot of work. For the normal person, you can do it just once a day. Hang in there and you’ll be looking like a vigilante hero in no time.

Weights- Getting scared!

• MONDAY – Chest and Biceps

Do four sets of ten: Peck Decks 15-Degree-Incline dumbbell press Barbell bench press Dips Barbell Curl

• TUESDAY - Legs!

Four sets of 10-15 reps:

Squats Leg Extensions Leg Press Walking Lunges (just 3 long sets)

4 sets of 15:

Standing calf raise Seated calf raise Dumbbell Curl Reverse Bar Curl

• THURSDAY – Triceps and Back (because leg days needs a day of rest)

Reps 10-15:

Lat Pull-down (3) Front Pull-down (3) One-arm row (4) Wide-grip seated row (3)

10 reps :

Lying triceps extension (3) Triceps pushdown (4) V-bar triceps push down (3) Reverse triceps extension (4)

• FRIDAY – Shoulders and Hamstrings

10 reps (per set):

Dumbbell shrugs (4) Barbell shrugs (2) Dumbbell seated military press (4) Lateral raise (3) Front raise (3) Reverse Fly (3) Lying hamstring curl (3) One-leg Hamstring curl (3) Straight-leg deadlift (4)

• CARDIO – After every work out, Jane did 5 min warm up, 30-50 min of cardio, then 5 min warm down. He also did 4-8 sets of 40-120 ab workouts…… if you’re crazy, go for it. Otherwise, twice a week works great. Aim for Monday (before leg day) and Thursday (before hamstring day).
• DIET – Protein! Jane reported in MH that he ate pretty much only protein and lots of it. He ate nearly eight times a day, avoiding chicken and fruit and sugar. While he thought it was boring, it’s tough to argue with the results. Watch the Punisher again if you need motivation, especially the beach scene. … Yikes.

Let me start by describing a “perfect 10”. A perfect 10 is not only a 10 when it comes to looks, it goes deeper, it means she is smart and amazing inside and out. Certain pick up tactics will allow you to pick up normal 10’s… but others allow you to pick up Quality girls. Some of my thoughts and Ideas may not work on certain types of girls, but personally I’d rather not pick up a girl if she is not quality! You learn very quickly when you get good at pick up, that looks alone mean nothing!

Just this morning I had a chat with one of my girl friends. We went for coffee (It wasn’t a date- but here is an article on Good Coffee Dates) at this cool little shop around the corner and we discussed the happenings of the weekend (Including me man slapping some punk), and I decided to share some of her valuable insights. Trust me you want to read this!

Let me start of by describing her just so you get a feel of what type of girl this is coming from. She has the most beautiful blonde hair, light blue eyes, she is tall, with a banging body (she is a typical Swedish looking girl) – without a doubt a “perfect 10”. She is consultant with a Maths Degree… so we are talking smart and sophisticated, but also extremely cheeky.

She is the type of girl that will tell you to go to hell is you try Neg her, or she will insult you back even worse. I have seen countless guys run away with their tails between their legs. Opening her with opinion openers will never fly, trust me I have seen countless guys try and fail.

But luckily for you she just described to me what does work. There is no doubt that picking up Perfect 10 is different to a “normal 10”, Perfect 10’s have brains on them and want to meet quality guys (or Real Men)!

So with that I want to add to my standard Attraction model CCC. Call it CCCC. Cool, calm, Charming and Confident.  I’ve written enough about CCC in other posts so I want to focus on the Charming side.

“All the guys that get somewhere with me, are really charming, they make me feel important. It’s also important that their body language is good, it makes me feel like they aren’t hitting on me, or trying to hard” ~ Holi

How she likes to Get Opened. “I really love your shoes” or “I really love your dress”. Her reasoning is that she spent a lot of time and effort picking them out, when you complement her it makes her feel good about herself. It’s Direct enough to let her know you are interested, but indirect enough to not make her feel too threatened.

One girl once said “I went out with this guy and I thought he was amazing, but then I went out with another guy that won my heart, the difference is that he made me feel like I was amazing”

I’m by no means saying be a Wuss and keep complementing a girl and trying to hard. Don’t say “I like your shoes” then “wow your belt is amazing” then “You have the most beautiful lips” this comes across as insincere and desperate. If its just one thing after the next.

Quality girls like charming guys. There is nothing like a well placed complement. But mix it in with good body language, lean back don’t invade her space.

We all want to find that special someone, and generally it starts off all the same, you meet through friends, at a bar or club or possibly even the mall. Then you progress through to the first date, hate it or love it, it’s got to be done. This can be a scary concept for some, but it is not as hard as it seems. Hopefully with these simple tips, you will master the art of dating!

The First thing you should think of before you organize a Date.

At the moment the big buzz word is “outcomes based education”. I’d like to create a new theory, “outcomes based dating”. The First thing you got to know about dating is that you want a specific outcome. Without an outcome in mind, you will be indecisive which is the “silent attraction killer”! With “outcomes based dating” you should have a near as well as long term outcome in mind.

• Near term outcome- What you want out of the date? This could be as simple as a second date, a kiss or sex. I know your probably thinking I want all of the above, but gunning for all 3 may come across like you are trying too hard, plus the added pressure won’t help you out. Pick one and plan accordingly. For instance, taking a girl to the driving range or to miniature golf (anything fun or active) during the day will lower your changes of kissing her on that date, but it will drastically increase your chances of having a date 2. This is because she knows she will have fun with you, and like everyone girls love to have fun! Note: Don’t worry if you don’t kiss a girl on the first date- I once only kissed a girl after 5 dates- even though I could have kissed her on date one.  Here is my article on Good Coffee Dates.

• Long Term Outcome- This is without doubt the most important thing you have probably not thought of. Girls read into everything, especially the date.  In your mind it is important to decide what you want the long term outcome of dating this girl to be. DO you want a girlfriend, a friend, a booty call, an open relationship?

This is an important question, because how the girl feels about you will depend a lot on where you take her. For example- taking a girl for cocktails, is very smooth and non boyfriend like, you will have a high chance of her having sex with you- without seeing you as a boyfriend, but taking your date to the park for a picnic comes across as “boyfriendy” (is that even a word) and she may not have sex with you because she doesn’t want to come across as easy or cheap.

A few tips on Dating.

• Don’t put pressure on yourself for the date, the more relaxed you are the more relaxed she’ll be.
• If she is coming on a date with you, it means she likes you already. You don’t have to do anything amazing, just try not to do anything that will screw it up.
• Being 5 minutes (don’t apologise- unless it’s over 10 minutes) late can sometimes work wonders, it shows you aren’t desperate.
• Dates aren’t interviews, don’t ask boring questions.
• Active dates are always a winner. Girls won’t remember what you did or said, but they will remember that they had fun with you, or how they “felt” around you.
• Alcohol always takes the edge off. Having a cocktail or 2 will always help things nicely along. But NEVER get drunk on a date, especially if you picked her up at AA.

So I decided to put together my own kind of “rules of the game” except they are real rules, that willl actually help you. In the Book I’m currently writing (a book on Dating and attraction) and I have summarized some of the Key Principals to creating attraction within a girl. With a special section called: Barons Rules for Getting the Girl of your Dreams. 

These are a few of Barons rules to create attraction!

• Don’t Be Desperate.  There is no attraction killer like desperation. NO MATTER HOW SWEET YOU ARE- If you are desperate. You will never get laid, unless it is by a $1 Hooker. For example- Don’t buy a girl flowers until you are either dating her/ sleeping with her. If you do it before then- It will come across as you are trying to hard and trying to buy her love.
• Take her out with your friends. Especially when you just meet her. Your Friends are people that love you, and will higher your social value.
• Have fun, people like being around people that have fun.
• Don’t be afraid to offend a girl. (I’m not talking about insults/negs here)  People respect you for having your own opinion.
• If a girl wants to see you she will make the effort, don’t chase lost causes.  If you ask her out and she um’s and ah’s. Leave her; she is not worth the effort.
• The more you show a girl you don’t need her the more she will want you.  Be independent, most guys come across as so needy. Have your own life and she will want to be apart of it.
• Be hard to read. When you first meet a girl NEVER let a girl know what’s going on in your mind. This drives a girl crazy (in a good way). Being the strong silent type can go a long way.
• Be laid back…  CCC (Cool Calm Confident) it’s important to have good body Language and to be relaxed. There is nothing more unattractive to a girl than a guy who looks nervous or unsettled.
• Never show jealousy.  This is a hard one- but girls test guys by trying to make them jealous. Its Important to realize that they are doing it for a reaction. If you don’t give her the reaction she wants it will drive her crazy! 
• Don’t be predictable. SMS or call her ONLY when she doesn’t expect it. If a girl knows for certain that you are going to text/sms her everyday she will get bored. Rather let her wonder why you aren’t contacting her.
• Be confident with whatever you want… if you want her to come to your house don’t be shy. If you are confident she will be comfortable/
• Be a gentleman (girls love this) Open car doors, pull out her chair, give her your coat, etc.
• Body Language makes the world of difference. If you lean in too much- she will get the idea that you are chasing her, rather lean back and draw her into you.

You don’t want to sit and memorize these rules, but the main Idea behind them is that you need to build your own reality. It’s ok to be a man and know what you want. Girls will respect it.

Let me start out by saying: there are a couple of good products out there right now already on this exact topic, if you’re interested:

• This is an epic facebook pick up course (to my knowledge the only course on online pick up out there). It’s like $2 or something, but it’s pretty informative, and had a bunch of things I’d never have thought about.
• This one is an epic eBook on using Twitter — I use the term epic in the sense of like an “epic” journey. It’s really really long and a little dull, but never seen anything else like it, and it’s totally free so I had to let you know (not sure if I recommend their dating course though, but hey, I’m slightly biased…)

Having got that out of the way: I do have a couple of points – my advice here would be (without writing my own ebook…):

1. Be different and pique interest with a great image. Not something stupid and poseury, but something a little quirky that shows your personality. Funny is good, but don’t let it look like you’re trying too hard.
2. Your bio is important. It doesn’t have to be long (my personal account is VERY long, but it works super well I create tons of value between my images, girls commenting all over my wall/status and photos, and my funny bio). It’s great to be funny – but reflect your personality veiled in humour. Mine talks about things I actually do love and am, and things I care about without getting too serious. It’s a juggling act, and you should fiddle with it (even the best copywriters in the world spend hours and hours editing!)
3. Don’t look like you’re trying. So: cover your tracks. Show some things to give the impression you aren’t hiding yourself (like if you comment on photos) but hide revealing things (like if you comment on walls).

4. Get people commenting on you. You can’t exactly tell them to (well I’ve seen some people ask questions in statuses, which usually fails, and if you ask for comments that almost definitely will). So, what do we do? You want to Like their stuff. Social networks are ALL about making people feel special – so give them compliments, make them laugh, and offer them value. Like their stuff. Comment on their walls / photos.
5. And (my favourite), direct message them. So, you either want them to write something on your wall (which you’ve provoked with a comment on their wall, photo, status, or a Like) and then you pick up that conversation in DM, or you want to begin the conversation in DM.

   Your 1st DMs should be SHORT! This is key! Long = pressure, long = creepy, long = guy thinking too much, perving. Long = bad. Short is good, it was “just a passing thought on impulse”. This is especially true if you initiate DM without her writing on your wall.

   When you reply, your reply should be shorter than hers (tone is important too, but that’s another topic!), or at very most 1/2 lines longer if you’ve got something great to say. Keep it punchy – short, simple sentences, quick questions, etc.

6. Capitalisation and grammar – In my experience using caps and proper punctuation makes little difference. Do whatever you’re in the mood for then. (There are probably girls who this does make a difference with, but if you know she’s an English Master’s student, you’re probably on top of this.).

   Grammar on the other hand is slightly more important – you don’t want to look like a retard (I know when we text each other, guys I mean, we sort of short cut things – I love a 3/4 word text with my buddies – don’t do it with girls.)

   And DON’T use txt spk online, or l33t 5p34k either! (or that losery 14 yrs old girl thing with mixed-caps: “HeLlo” I’m sure you’ve never done that though, have you…?)

This is just the tip of the iceberg. Communication of course is how we talk to other people, right? Now think about this 70% of our day-to-day (night-to-night) communication is done in a way where you don’t have to speak at all?  That’s right.  The majority of what we communicate doesn’t even come from our mouths! 10% is what you say, 20% percent is how you say it, what is the other 70%?

This 70% of communication is called body language.  Even when we aren’t talking, we are always sending off these ‘signals’ that other people, women especially, pick up subconsciously. (It is important that you learn to read body language and learn how to send out the right body language) 

If you see someone walking with their hands in their pockets and their head down, will you be more likely to approach this person?  Or would you be more likely to approach a person with their head up and shoulders thrown back?  This is my point exactly.

There are 2 aspects to Body language

1. Giving off positive Body Language (Part1)
2. Being able to read body Language (Part 2)

(This article is an introduction to body language in general. Keep an eye out for part 2 in later articles. We will describe How to read her body language to see her intent, and find the right moment to kiss her.)

The greatest thing about modifying your body language is that the results are almost instant- people can see the difference.  From the moment you start using them you start feeling better about yourself and people will be more likely to approach you.  Try this, take a walk down the street and do the following: Pull you shoulders back, lift your chin slightly with your chest up, now imagine that there is a string tied around your waist and you are being pulled along by that string. Do it now…….. and then keep reading!

Ok You’re back- How did you feel? I bet you felt confident and good about yourself- I bet you even had a little smirk on your face while you did it. If you had to ask someone who saw you walk past I bet they would say you looked confident, not to mention cool and calm.

The other great thing about body language is the changes are small and subtle, but they can be tricky to use them all the time but through effort and practice you WILL become a natural. What does this mean, it means that initially it takes work but eventually you will do it without thinking about it. (Even your muscles in your shoulders and back get used to walking up straight. Note: Going to Gym and working you’re back and shoulders make a huge change to your posture.)

Let’s talk about the 10 body language secrets that I personally use to help me attract women- they work all the time- In Business and Pick Up:

1. Cool- Don’t Move too much – Being cool is someone who is not fazed by the outside world. Think about someone who is fidgety and jerky- they come across as insecure- not cool.  Confident men who are successful with women make very controlled movements- think about how James Bond acts.  He always walks slowly and only makes controlled movements- unless he is chasing some Nigerian from roof top-to-roof top (what an awesome scene- for the first movie).  You will never see a confident man with restless leg syndrome or fidgeting with their fingers.  By slowing down your movement you are presenting to the rest of the world a more “comfortable” version of yourself and it makes you that much more approach-friendly.
2. Calm- Lean Back and Relax – When you are sitting up or in any sort of position that isn’t standing up, lay back and relax- Girls love a guy who looks relaxed in his own skin. I love to sit on the back of a chair while I am talking to a girl (plus I’m tall so it puts me at her level), or when I’m at the bar- I lean back and put my elbow on the bar counter with my one foot over the other).  If there is nothing else to lean on let your arms hang down at your sides, and make yourself as comfortable as you possibly can. The best part about leaning back is that it makes the girl lean in (especially in a club with loud music) if she is leaning in you are already 50% there when you go in for the kiss.
3. Confident – In any situation be spacious, always take up as much space as possible- it makes you look confident.  If you’re sitting in a couch, lean back and kick your legs out.  This is a “territorial” thing that all people notice subconsciously. People will think this guy is not afraid to take the lead.  If people see you taking up this space they will automatically assume you to be the alpha male (Alpha make is the male that all the girls are attracted to) in the room and that you are the one who is the most laid back and fun!
4. Winking- If a girl says something that is far fetched- give her an exaggerated wink and say “of course” or “sure” in a very sarcastic way. 9 times out of 10 she will laugh and affectionately hit you on the arm (which is a massive SOI- Signal of interest)
5. Shielding yourself- Shy guys have a tendency of “shielding” themselves from other people by sitting forward with their arms folded.  Don’t do this as it makes you look closed off.  Relax!  Be cool. You want to be seen as the Alpha Male but still as approachable.
6. Raising your Eyebrows- This is fairly complicated to do and time appropriately, but if a girl says something dodgy or stupid- just pause, and raise you eyebrows. But say nothing- this will create an awkward moment for her.
7. Walking Posture – People notice you when you walk, I had a professor that always looked at his feet, he was the nicest man alive- but if you didn’t know him, you would think he was ashamed to be alive.  If you walk with your head down with your hands in your pocket you will look completely unapproachable and insecure. Walk as if you mean it, back straight, with your head tilted up just a bit.  Stick your chest out and bring your shoulders back. (like I demonstrated earlier)  This shows women what they are most attracted too, confidence.  Take a look at any millionaire, Rockstar, or celebrity.  They always walk this way and it’s because they are confident with themselves.  Guys who you should look out for is Brad Pitt and George Clooney. Those 2 have the best body language out of anyone.
8. Open Yourself – When you are approaching women stand or sit with your palms slightly exposed with your arms at your sides and with your legs shoulder width apart (or out in front of you if you are sitting).  Don’t ever cross your arms or your legs as this is a signal for being “closed” off.  You always want to come across as friendly, and not dangerous… showing people your palms reassures them.
9. Add some Indifference – You never want to show too much emotion at any given time- because you want to keep girls guessing what you are thinking, this makes you seem as if you aren’t in control of your life or your situation. Girls love to get in your head; don’t let them get in there.
10. Smiling- Don’t smile too much. Most Guys walk straight up to a girl and crack this huge goofy ass smile. She has done nothing to deserve this smile- so don’t give her one yet…. Keep chatting and if she says something cool like “I race sports car” then smile because now she deserves it. So many Girls have told me guys smile too much when they have done nothing to deserve the smile.

If you can master each one of those body language principles then you will be in a completely different league with women then anyone you know.

Usually that answer is, “um, none.” Which is fine – nobody needs you to get good at this stuff, except for you, we’re all doing fine. But why don’t we leave the house and go and actually meet girls? I hear a lot about how:

• “I’m not good looking”
• “I’m not funny naturally”
• “I don’t know what to say”
• “I’m so tired”
• “I’m too depressed”

I don’t judge anyone who uses these excuses. I understand why you do, and I understand that there’s probably a seed of truth in them too.

All I can say is “if you keep doing what you’ve always done, you’ll keep getting what you’ve always gotten.”

And if you’re asking those questions, you’re probably not altogether delighted with what you’ve always gotten.

Pick Up is a lifeskills sport. It’s a lifeskill and it’ll change your life and it has the potential to radically improve your quality of living. But it’s also like a sport, if you think you can start at the top, you need to know you really can’t. You’re going to start at the bottom of the barrel in the 8th Division, and you’ve got to work your way up to the Premier League.

There’s a lot of blood, sweat and tears. But the journey is fun too – depression lifts when you have a goal and know you have a direction. You have a new burst of energy when you realise your life is coming together. It’s just incredible when you realise the things that you always thought were out of your grasp are actually so close you can clinch them – and when you actually get them. I’m not just talking about sex here, and having a hot girlfriend (yes, you will have those if you work on this).

I’m talking about a NEW LIFE: this isn’t just about “what to say” — this is about becoming a man of value, a man women want, a man men respect and want to be. It’s about your job and career, it’s about your body, it’s about your beliefs about life and people and how much you enjoy life and its simple things, and how little you’re able to worry. It’s about freedom.

You’ll never have those things until you begin.

When are you going to START? When are you going to go out and approach girls? When are you going to to decide what you want your life to be and start taking steps to actualise that?

Read the articles, listen to the courses, but then go and do something about it. Decide what you want, plan how to get it, go develop the skills, and go and grab it.

It’s not difficult – it’s easy. Problem is, nobody bothers to sit down and work out – and I mean REALLY WORK OUT – what they want, and how they’re going to get it. I strongly believe pick up, and this lifestyle is about being different. It’s about being the 2% who do go and do that, and who do suck it up and take the pain and who do go out and make things happen.

People who feel the fear and do it anyway. People who see the doubt and eat it up.

Stop settling for second best. Go and take action. Take action now.
